Japan has 4 traditional seasons as well as cold and dry periods. This country also has many interesting seasons, such as: Sakura, cuisine, and so on. All activities are taken place in a specific term. Therefore, people who desire to visit Japan should consult this list of interesting seasons in Japan to have a great journey.

1. Fruit season

Similar to many tropical countries, Japanese enjoy fruits on seasonal cycle. Any fruits have their unique term to ripe. For instance: melon time is from June to August, or blueberry term is from July to the end of August.

Fruits in Japan are available at any supermarkets at reasonable prices. Japanese believes that fruit picking is a good way to link with their farming culture.

6. Obon season

7. Bonenkai Season

The word “Bonenkai” means “forget the year party”. In this season, office parties are held at the end of year (in December). Bonenkai is taken place in the Japanese traditional style, most of office workers attend in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The most favorite dishes in the occasion are hot pot and beer. In December, restaurants in town are busy because there are numerous companies hold the parties at the same time.

8. Sakura season

Japan receives a great deal amount of rain in a year. The rainy season is a cloudy period of year that gets a reasonable precipitation. The timing of rainy season in Japan is from May to July (depending on regions).
